When the beautiful Kurilian cats with light (tortie with white, bicolor, harlequin, van, blue-cream, blue and cream bicolor and harlequin) colours had appeared in the cattery "ALEXANDER-FRED", it became important to single out an independent cattery.
In June, 2002, the cattery "From Kurilian Country" was registered by the breeder of Kurilian Bobtails - Larisa Shevchenko. According to the breeding-plan, we want to raise the new cats with light colours and with excellent breed and exhibition qualities.
Nowadays, there are two breed-lines in the "Kurilian Country":
1. Blue, cream and blue-cream with white.
2. Van, harlequin, bicolor and tortie with white.
Last year people did much in popularizing of the new breed: some articles in the popular Russian magazines such as "Between a cat and a dog", "The Friend", "The Pet", "In the animal's world" etc. Taking part in different exhibitions, Kurilian Bobtails won first places and the world recognition.
You won't be indifferent to these wonderful creatures. The impressions from the short-tailed cats are different. But they will attract your attention and you won't be able to forget them.
Kurilian Bobtail is a native, young and fast developing breed. But in spite of this nowadays Kurilian Bobtails are very rare. And the kittens in our cattery are rather expensive, because they have original colours and they are healthy (every 3 months adult cats have a medical checking up). The kittens are vaccinated and they have the documents (pedigree and veterinary passport). When you buy a kitten, you will get the contract, which guarantees to you all afore-named conditions.
